My name is Allison (Barnes) Juhász. I grew up in a small beach town 25 minutes north of San Luis Obispo. I attended K-8 elementary school in Cayucos and graduated from high school at Coast Union High School in Cambria.
I now live in Los Gatos with my husband, and teach in San Jose. I enjoy playing piano, guitar and writing music. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and being in nature. Reflection is vital for my personal growth, and I use much of time learning new ways of being mindful and healthy.
I am passionate about people, culture and art. I’ve spent almost 9 years teaching fine arts, and have developed a dynamic, 21st century curriculum to engage all types of learners. I am inspired by the dynamic and organic process of interacting and supporting students, while constantly learning from them. Through this process, students gain empathy, critical thinking and a new understanding of themselves.
